Can we come and see the camper before booking?

Of course you can. Give us a call beforehand just to make sure we are around.

How do I book?

You have a choice: you can book by phone 01273491383 or you can book online via our website.

Are our belongings covered by the insurance?

No. Our insurance covers the camper and not its contents. We advise you to take up your own travel insurance as you would for any other holiday.

What type of fuel do the campers use?

Our camper vans use unleaded fuel. It’s worth checking which side of the vehicle the filler cap is on before you drive off.  We leave you half a tank and ask you return it with the same amount.

What happens if we break down or have a problem with the campervan?

In the unlikely event that you do break down, you can be safe in the knowledge that your camper van hire includes full AA cover, so they should be your first port of call. We do ask that you call us if you do have a problem. As it may be something simple we can talk you through over the phone. We do provide essential service items for the AA, just in case they need them. In the unlikely event that the AA can’t get you going again we will give you a full refund.

Can we leave our car with you?

Of course.

Can you pick us up from the station?

Can you stock the fridge for us before we arrive?

Yes. Let us know what you want.

What time is pick up and drop off?

During high season you can pick up the camper van after 2 pm and drop it off by 11 am. This ensures we have enough time to get the campers cleaned out and checked over so that the next people to use them enjoy the same high standard that you experienced. If your camper is not going out again the same day, we can be more flexible on drop off times.

What do we need to bring with us?

Simply bedding, clothing and food! We can provide bedding and food hampers (both basic and luxury) if you wish. These will incur extra charges.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome.

Are the campers no-smoking?

Yes. Both our lovely campers are no-smoking. It’s not too far to hop outside for a quick smoke though!

How many people can sleep in the vans?

Hattie 2 plus 1 in over front seat hammock.  Molly 4/5: 2 adults and 2 children.  They both come with drive-away style awnings which sleep an additional 2 people in the inner tent. Check out each van’s dedicated page for specific sleeping arrangements.

Are the campers difficult to drive?

No, they are just different. By the time you reach the end of the road, you’ll be an expert. It is a totally different driving experience however, so think along the lines of real back to basics driving and no power steering!

Who can drive the campervans?

Anyone over the age of 25 years old who has held a full UK driving licence for 2 years can drive our vans. Drivers between the ages of 21 and 25 can hire our campervans subject to pre-authorisation from our insurance company. Details required: must have held a licence for a minimum of 2 years; details of any convictions, occupation and date of birth.  Please contact us with this information before making your booking. There may be a small insurance supplement if you have had bans or specific convictions in the past. – we will advise you of this at the time of booking. The main driver is included in the hire cost; up to 2 additional drivers can be added.

What documentation do I need to provide to hire/drive a campervan?

You need to provide a copy of your driving licence and 2 recent utility bills with proof of address on them. With the paper part of the driving licence now being obsolete you also need to provide us with a code so that we can view your driving licence information. Go to / and follow the instructions

What is included in the cost of hire?

Full comprehensive main driver insurance, full AA cover, unlimited mileage, drive-away style awning, picnic tables and chairs, all cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and equipment, cooking gas, plus tea and coffee and lots of other little extras. A full inventory list is included in the camper vans so if it’s on the list, it’s in there somewhere.
